A usual evening

  1. Mom

What should we have for dinner?

  2. Son

    Pasta again?

  3. Daughter

    Remember Grandma’s apple pie?

  4. Dad

I remember the pie. Not how she made it.

A family knows plenty of dishes, but in the evening it’s always the same few

Write them down in domenu

Lasagna, Grandma’s pie, Dad’s tacos: everything your family cooks, with notes on who makes it and how. Next time someone asks what’s for dinner, open the menu.

How it works

You can start with a couple of dishes

  1. Step 1

    Add your dishes

Start with the ones you cook most often. Add the rest as they come to mind.

  2. Step 2

    Invite your family

Show a QR code, send a link or tell them the family code. The menu shows up on their phones.

  3. Step 3

    Pick dinner

Tap Want on the dishes you feel like today. If you can’t agree, start a vote.

Features

What domenu does

You build the menu yourselves, from your own dishes. There are no recipes from the internet here.

Family menu

Add dishes and sort them into your own categories, like soups, baking or breakfast. Note who cooks each one and how. You can also see when it was last made.

Wanted today

Tap Want on a dish you feel like. The Today screen shows who wants what, so whoever’s cooking has an easier choice.

The Today screen in domenu: a dinner vote in progress and, below it, the Wanted today card with what everyone feels like eating.

Vote in pairs

When everyone wants something different, pick up to 5 dishes from the menu and start a vote for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Everyone compares them two at a time and picks one from each pair.

Results counted for you

The vote ends when everyone has voted or time runs out. domenu adds up the points and shows which dish won.

Invite your family

Show a QR code, send a link or tell them your 6-character family code. Whoever joins sees the same menu and can add to it.
